NEW CHAPTER

I recently had the opportunity to purchase this bike from a friend, the same friend that I was lucky enough to be given a GS500 project. However upon building the GS500 project, I realised I wanted a change of style completely, and I was not going to be able to achieve it with the 2002 GS build. I mentioned this at work in the morning, and luckily he said he had just the starting block I was looking for in his container. We went up, unlocked the container, crawled to the back and found a custom framed, Bandit 600 chop. For me, the frame is looking a bit battered, engine has been sat for a while. However the potential is the driving force for building this up.
I will start with the bits I don’t like.
The wheels need changing for spoked wheels. Hoping to pick up some Suzuki Savage or some intruder spoked wheels.
The rat look to the frame, I will get this frame powder coated satin black, and prepare the engine to match.
The vast amount of bulky B&Q spec hardware. I will be taking trips to Rope & Wire, to neaten up most of the fixing, and using rivet nuts where I can.
